Global Civils on track to complete upgrading of provincial roads in Coffee Bay and Peddie for the Eastern Cape Provincial Government.

Global Civils has entered into a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Eastern Cape Provincial Government’s Department of Roads for the construction and upgrade of provincial roads in the Eastern Cape.

Current projects underway include a 31 kilometre access road in Coffee Bay, an 11 kilometre access road in Peddie and a shorter tree kilometre road in Mount Ayliff.

The treated roads are all in a state of bad deterioration due to the formation of potholes in the black top surface. A 3% stabilising application applied with a Wirtgen recycler achieves high CBR and a speedy turnaround time.

Global Civils has provided the Eastern Cape Provincial Government with a fast track cost effective solution with minimum disruption to traffic flow due to the inherent early strength gains in the base layer.

About Global Civil Solutions
Global Civil Solutions (GCS) was established in 1996. Prior to 2005, the company focused largely on project management in the construction industry. A growing demand for infrastructure development, particularly from developing economies, led to Global Civils developing a unique soil stabiliser as a faster and more cost-effective method for road and rail construction.
